The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is an Android phablet smartphone developed and produced by Samsung Electronics. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ was unveiled alongside its brother, the Galaxy Note 5, during a Samsung press conference in New York City on 13 August 2015. It is a larger variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, featuring a 5.7-inch 1440p display wrapped around the curved sides of the device. Its overall specifications are nearly identical to the standard S6 Edge, but upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery. Its software has additional features, such as "Apps Edge" (which allows users to swipe from the side of the screen to access shortcuts to frequently-used applications) and live video streaming to YouTube.〔 == Specifications == The devices are available in "White Pearl", "Black Sapphire", "Gold Platinum", and "Silver Titanium" color finishes. The processor and RAM specifications are identical to the Galaxy Note 5, with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and an Exynos 7420 with 4 Cortex A-53 and Cortex A-57 cores clocked at 1.5 and 2.1 GHz respectively. The screen is 5.7 inches with a 1440 x 2560 resolution and a pixel density of approximately 518 PPI. The GPU is a Mali-T760MP8. The device has a non-removable 3000 mAh lithium polymer battery, 220 mAh smaller than the previous Galaxy Note 4 but 450 mAh larger than the Galaxy S6 and 400 mAh larger than the Galaxy S6 Edge. The phone supports wireless charging using the Qi and PMA standards, along with Fast Charging. The rear camera is 16 megapixels, and has Optical Image Stabilization, autofocus, LED Flash, and is capable of recording 4K video footage at 30 FPS or 1080p footage at 60 FPS.
